3. INTRODUCTION
• Designed to shut down the power supply when it is
overloaded.
• Conventional MCB(thermal bimetal lever trip mechanism).
• Based on current sensing , comparator is used to o/p voltage.
• Rectified DC,after comparator output that drives a relay
through a MOSFET/Op-amp to trip the load.
• Relay by using three terminal, adjust the load to on/off.
6. POWER SUPPLY
•Provide a constant 5V for powering up the circuitry.
•Maps down the Input AC voltage to 0-5V for the op-amp.
•12V Step Down transformer for 12 dc.
• regulate voltage to 5V by using a 7805 Voltage regulator.
7. OPERATIONALAMPLIFIER LM358
• Comparison takes places,High Voltage value and Low voltage
Value compare with current voltage.
• Differential mode of an Op-amp.
8. RELAY
• Both are high, the Relay will get its ground and the will be
triggered.
• Any change in the AC main Voltage either of op-amp will go low
and relay will turn off.
9. APPLICATION
• It is used to protect relays.
• Programmable controllers.
• It is used to protect motors.
• Sensors.
• It’s helpful for actuators, valves etc.
10. ADVANTAGES
• Not contain mechanical component.
• Fast working.
• Less energy consumption.
• Complicated.
• More practical in application.
