Eleanor Roosevelt Haley was born in New York City in 1884. She was the niece of President Theodore Roosevelt and married President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1905. Eleanor Roosevelt was an active advocate for women's suffrage and served as First Lady from 1933 to 1945. She received numerous honors for her humanitarian work, including the United Nations Human Rights Prize, before passing away in New York City in 1962.
