Marie-Christine Pouchelle est anthropologue. Elle a passé plus de 10 ans à observer le fonctionnement des blocs opératoires, des réanimations et bien sûr, leurs acteurs médicaux et para-médicaux. De nombreuses publications ont relaté ses observations. Le chirurgien maître du temps
A l’hôpital la maîtrise du temps est l’un des signes majeurs du pouvoir. De même que chez les oiseaux les relations hiérarchiques sont livrées par l’observation de qui picore qui, on peut dire qu’à l’hôpital les relations hiérarchiques sont livrées par l’observation de qui peut s’autoriser à faire attendre qui. (En bas de l’échelle, on trouvera généralement le patient).
Pour les chirurgiens il y a évidemment quelque chose d’immédiatement vital dans le contrôle du temps, dès lors qu’il s’agit d’hémorragie et/ou d’ischémie. Mais on dirait que cet aspect a largement débordé sur l’ensemble des comportements professionnels et privés des praticiens. De sorte qu’il est de notoriété publique à l’hôpital qu’on ne fait pas attendre un chirurgien, mais qu’on l’attend.
Je caricature : sur-actif, donc chroniquement débordé, le chirurgien maître de son temps et du temps des autres, obéit en fait aux priorités qu’il se donne, variables selon les individus.

Peraltro, le correzioni riguardano solo una piccola parte delle strafalcionerie messe sinteticamente in evidenza nella conferenza stampa di Legambiente del 21/11/2007, non risultando prese in considerazione tante altre parti di cui non era stata fatta esplicita menzione.
In definitiva, nel copia e incolla, i refusi da “refusi veneti” sono diventati “refusi siciliani” e gli autori siciliani, con il citato D.A. n. 43, dopo 7 mesi li hanno corretti facendoli comparire come propri errori di stampa. (sic!)
Ma nonostante questo, alla data del 22/10/2008(*) (dopo ulteriori 7 mesi) sul sito web dell’Assessorato era possibile trovare sì la versione “corretta” del Piano, salvo ad accorgersi che conteneva le stesse precedenti strafalcionerie. (sic!).
Dalla fine di ottobre 2008 sul sito risulta inserita la versione con i “refusi” veneti corretti, ma soltanto il 29/04/2009, con la nota n. 1777, il Capo di Gabinetto dell’ARTA era costretto a comunicare, con malcelato imbarazzo, che la Commissione ispettiva costituita dall’Assessore Interlandi il 22/11/2007 (per dimostrare che il Piano non era stato copiato) “non aveva reso alcuna relazione conclusiva”. Un’affermazione criptica per cercare di stendere il velo su una vicenda insostenibile ed indifendibile.
Per definire tutta la complessa vicenda, dunque, Ciampolillo usò nel suo blog le parole “probabili ipotesi di truffa”. A dire il vero parole appropriate essendovi per la legge “truffa” quando ricorre la condotta di <<chiunque,>> (articolo 640 codice penale). E nei fatti testé narrati sono presenti i seguenti elementi :
- l' “artifizio e il raggiro”, che è quello di chi ha presentato come “sua” un’opera che nient'altro era se non la manipolazione, peraltro incompleta e raffazzonata, di un'opera altrui (e perché allora non usare la parola “plagio” intesa come “appropriazione indebita e divulgazione sotto proprio nome di un'opera altrui o di una parte di essa, specialmente in ambito artistico e letterario”? - vedasi dizionario De Mauro della Lingua Italiana);
- “inducendo taluno in errore”, anzi non “qualcuno” ma l'intera comunità isolana che si affida agli organi istituzionali -e segnatamente a quelli per la tutela della qualità dell'aria- per godere del sacrosanto diritto alla salute (art. 32 Cost.) ;
- “… con altrui danno” : oltre al presumibile danno alla salute derivante dall’ inesistenza sostanziale delle misure di monitoraggio sulla qualità dell’ aria (che nel documento erano calibrate per il Veneto e non per la Sicilia), vi è poi il danno economico alla Regione sicilia che ha investito fondi di bilancio per la produzione di un documento risultato sin da subito posticcio.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic Imperative
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
