Mainstreaming the iTEC project
The magazine summarises the developments and results of the iTEC project up to date. Within iTEC, educational tools and resources have been piloted in over 2,000 classrooms across 19 European countries with the key objective of providing a sustainable model for fundamentally redesigning teaching and learning.
Ictproposal
This research project proposes to study the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to support teaching and learning in disadvantaged schools and communities in Rwanda and South Africa. The project aims to develop models for effective ICT introduction and use at the basic education level. It will focus on supporting teacher development and capacity building to effectively integrate ICT into teaching mathematics and science. It also aims to study how ICT can be used to engage and support community development efforts. The project seeks to answer questions about current ICT infrastructure and skills, how ICT can support teaching and learning as well as teacher professional development, and how ICT can help close gender divides in mathematics and science education. It provides online tools and support to allow schools to partner with others across Europe on projects. Originally launched in 2005, eTwinning is now part of the EU's lifelong learning program. It helps improve students' ICT and cultural skills while enriching teaching. Through eTwinning, schools can access professional development, resources, and recognition for their work.

ICT Utilization in Secondary Schools in Ede South Local Government, Osun Stat...
This paper investigated the use of information communication and technology (ICT) for effective management of secondary schools in Ede South Local Government. The study investigated the level of availability of ICT facilities in schools, the capacity for using ICT facilities for teaching-learning process, the perceived benefits of using ICT and the problems facing the use of ICT in secondary schools. It was found that the level of provision of ICT equipment to secondary schools in the State was low. The intermittent disruption of electricity and inadequate funding were found as major problem inhibiting the usage of ICT equipment for the management of schools in the State. It was concluded that the State Government was not fully ready to imbibe (ICT) for the effective management of secondary schools in the State. It was recommended that the State government should supply the necessary ICT equipment to all secondary schools in the State. Government should also improve the training of principals, teachers and computer personnel in the use of computers and other ICT equipment through seminars, workshops and in-services training

This event will adopt a hybrid format, allowing participants to join us either through an online Mircosoft Teams session or in person at TU/e located at Den Dolech 2, Eindhoven, Netherlands. The meet-up will be hosted by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), a research university specializing in engineering science & technology.
Power Grid Model
The global energy transition is placing new and unprecedented demands on Distribution System Operators (DSOs). Alongside upgrades to grid capacity, processes such as digitization, capacity optimization, and congestion management are becoming vital for delivering reliable services.
Power Grid Model is an open source project from Linux Foundation Energy and provides a calculation engine that is increasingly essential for DSOs. It offers a standards-based foundation enabling real-time power systems analysis, simulations of electrical power grids, and sophisticated what-if analysis. In addition, it enables in-depth studies and analysis of the electrical power grid’s behavior and performance. This comprehensive model incorporates essential factors such as power generation capacity, electrical losses, voltage levels, power flows, and system stability.
Power Grid Model is currently being applied in a wide variety of use cases, including grid planning, expansion, reliability, and congestion studies. It can also help in analyzing the impact of renewable energy integration, assessing the effects of disturbances or faults, and developing strategies for grid control and optimization.
