Storyboard.
Min 0-2: This will be my introduction to the documentary. This will include a voiceover, cinematic shots of locations I will
be shooting in, shots of my subject and actors within the documentary. I will do this because these are all classic
features for the BBCs intro so I will stick with the codes and conventions as these are proven to work and get good
engagement.
Min 3-5: For this time I will be conducting an interview with the business owner and will be questioning him on his beliefs
about social media. These shots will be took on way to his work in the car. This is because I will use his answers to get a
second opinion for the audience to see if they agree or disagree with him. Also it might show to my audience his way of
life and show to them it could be them.
Min 6-8: At this point I will be getting examples of his day to day life and how he makes money and what he does at
work. An example of this is a sale he might make or a call he might go on or a meeting he might attend. This shows his
day to day life and this might intrigue my audience to do what he's doing and ill do this because I want to show the
possibilities that are available because of technology.
Min 8-10: I'm going to include stats, facts and statistics to show my problem to my audience and to make them aware of
it and to also show my audience the other opportunists available. While the stats are on screen there will be cinematic
shots for them to go over. These will be used to show how good working online is and to show to my audience the
possibilities which are available to them.
Min 10-12: I will then conduct an interview with him while at work. During this interview I will talk about the new flex
culture on social media and get his opinion on it. There will be cinematic shots and examples of flex culture with the
interview going on in the background. I will get his opinion on the change of culture because I think it will show my
audience peoples opinion on it who actually experience it everyday.
Min 12- 15: This will be the outro. For my outro it will be my subject talking one last time about his opinion and then it will
have some cinematic scenes of him going home in his car to end it. I will also include a “Next Time” at the end as this is
something the BBC like to do and I think this will intrigue my audience. I’ll do this because the BBC always end there
documentary's like this and to make sure I stick with the codes and convention ill also do it as I know this works to get
good engagement.
