The document discusses various aspects of the editing process for a short film. It describes colour correcting shots that were too bright, dark, blue or yellow. It was challenging to fit all the footage into the three minute runtime and required harsh cuts while keeping the storyline flowing. Outdoor shots had to be adjusted in editing to reduce ambient wind sound due to windy filming conditions, and music could not be added due to dialogue throughout the film.
This is an updated version of my Unit 1 LO1B presentation on the Horror Movie The Descent referring to the Mise-En-Scene. There is one extra slide to snare that the coursework criteria is hit.
The whole scene arranged with the help of various objects and props which a viewer can see during a program especially in a TV studio, is referred to as set. Set is a very popular term used in almost all TV productions. It is among first things which are considered to begin a program, either for live coverage or recordings. It is commonly understood that every act which viewers are seeing has to be done on some setting of different objects to match with the nature of program. Even the natural occasions like sights of war-torn areas, accidents or tourists’ resorts have natural settings.
This presentation is a guide for all the career options, the labor need and everything that you need to know about film making. Specifically focused on sounds used in the movies, giving all details about if with their respective videos, this is PPT about film making.
Sound is a multi-layered mixture of various elements. All things audio make up the soundtrack, and each has their own respective priorities, contexts, and purpose.

1. Editing
COLOUR CORRECTION
We had to colour correct a few of our shots
throughout the editing process, this is because
either the shot was too bright, dark or often too
blue or yellow. We simply used a colour scale
and dragged the pointer away from the colour
which was more prominent, for example, when
our shots had a yellow tinge to them we
dragged the pointer slightly towards the blue.
We ensured that all of our scenes ran smoothly
and were colour corrected to fit the time in
which our scene was set and the mood of the
scene.
DURATION
We found it challenging to fit all of our shots
into three minutes, each scene alone with the
scripted dialogue, stage directions and shot
types often exceeded a minute. We had to be
very harsh within the editing process in order to
cut down the footage. But this proved
challenging keeping enough footage in order to
make the storyline flow and make sense to the
audience. We managed to do so with getting
our short film down to three minutes exactly.
2. SOUND
The windy conditions throughout the past few weeks meant
filming the outdoor scenes proved a struggle to complete
without a high intensity of ambient sound, although during
editing we adjusted the audio to ensure the wind was less
extreme.
We wanted to add music (a score) to our film, although this
proved nearly impossible due to their being dialogue pretty much
throughout, and the shots which did not have dialogue where
only maximum of three seconds, meaning adding music would
make the rest of the film inconsistent and not flow properly.
