Edible packaging is food wrapped in food, aimed at reducing plastic and paper waste. It comes in two forms: edible coatings that prevent moisture and oxygen migration, and edible films that enhance food conservation and marketing. While environmentally friendly and capable of enhancing flavor, edible packaging is more costly and may not be suitable in unsanitary conditions.

2. WHAT IS EDIBLE
PACKAGING ?
Edible food packaging is basically food wrapped in
food.
It takes away the plastic and paper waste that’s
created from packaging foods and instead wraps it
in something that’s edible.
The idea is that once you’re done eating the food
inside the package, you finish off the package too.
