very frequently.
 Our favorite books were The Very Hungary
Caterpillar and books by Dr. Seuss.

3.  In kindergarten, I learned letter sounds and

 I still loved having my sisters read to me at
home.
 I started to read beginner books to my family.

4.  I felt very confident in my reading abilities.
 I often volunteered to read out loud during
class.
 I enjoyed reading Amelia Bedelia books at
home.

5.  I began to read more at home during middle
school.
 I enjoyed mystery books like Nancy Drew
and other books such as Charlotte’s Web.

6.  I still loved reading at home, especially
mystery books. I read books by Agatha
Christie and other murder mystery writers, as
well as the Harry Potter books.

7.  During college, I did not read as much during
my down time. I was always busy with
classes or friends, so I did not have as much
time for leisure reading.

8.  Today, I am happy to say that I find the time
to read almost every night. Reading helps
me to relax after a busy day. I enjoy a
variety of books and I like to mix up what I
read so it’s not the same type of story each
time.
