Mrs Collins is the talented library aide at the school who creates wonderful and inspiring displays in the library (LRC) to encourage students to read. Some of the recent displays she created were for Possum Magic's 25th birthday, Old Tom's 10th birthday, and teaching the teachers based on the book "Teaching the Teacher". The students appreciate Mrs Collins' efforts in making the library bright and welcoming.

Alex and Leif fall in love and get engaged by their senior year. Alex is happy but still worries about Robert trying to find her.

The students began a new unit called "One World, Many Stories" where they rotated between classrooms to participate in story-related activities, including using pictures to tell stories, acting out readers' theatre plays, listening to stories by an author, and sharing their favorite books. They learned that stories can be told orally, through pictures, acted out, or read from books. The author Corinne Fenton visited and read one of her stories to the class. The students continued learning about stories and authors through various activities including character studies and illustrations inspired by author Pamela Allen.

The adventures of max and finley
Max and Finley went to the junkyard with their parents for fun. While exploring, they fell through a path and discovered it led to an active car compactor. They narrowly escaped being crushed but watched helplessly as their parents were crushed by the machine. They spotted a man sneaking away and chased after him, cornering him. Max found a pocket knife and armed himself before the man was arrested. They then took a taxi to where the man was being held and began questioning him about what happened.
