This document analyzes the economic impact of the technology sector in Austin, Texas in 2012. It finds that the tech sector accounted for 21% of Austin's GDP and 9% of employment. The largest drivers of Austin's economy were computer and computer peripheral equipment and software wholesalers, as well as engineering and computer programming services.
