This document outlines the design and implementation of a smart power monitoring system. It discusses initially powering the system using a Kill-A-Watt meter to sample voltage and current over time. A Digispark microcontroller converts the analog data to digital and sends it over USB to a Raspberry Pi for processing and storage in a database. A web interface was created using Web2Py, JavaScript and various charting libraries to display power measurements and allow for scheduling and device switching. Future improvements include adding actual power switching capabilities and simplifying the setup process.
