East Africa faces troubles today such as poverty, civil wars, and diseases. Kenya has coastal beaches and inland nature preserves, while using a free market system and dealing with poverty among farmers. Tanzania also has beaches and the Serengeti plain, with tourism a key industry. Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi have faced civil wars between Hutus and Tutsis, and Uganda suffers from AIDS, while the countries in the Horn of Africa like Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and Somalia face issues like civil wars, drought, and clan violence.
