The Philippines has an abundance of both biotic and abiotic natural resources. Biotic resources include forests, fish, animals and plants. Some endemic animal species include the Tamaraw, Visayan spotted deer, and Philippine mouse deer. However, many of the country's natural resources are being depleted due to population growth, pollution, and human activities. Abiotic resources include landforms, bodies of water, and minerals such as gold, silver, and copper.
