This document provides instructions for an assignment to write a 15-page policy paper on a major public policy issue in Saskatchewan for an Educational Administration course. The paper must be in APA style with references, address key sub-issues of the topic and critique prevailing arguments. It should also describe central stakeholders and reference at least 3 articles between 2005-2009 discussing contradictory perspectives on the issue. Acceptable topics include gender equity, teacher professionalism, student achievement, property taxes, accountability, and Aboriginal education. The paper must present an evidence-based argument for one side of the issue while also addressing alternative perspectives. Original research using new sources is expected.
