This document summarizes a research study on the effect of social media networks on lifestyle changes in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries. The study found that social media has led to major changes in how people interact and socialize, affecting their lifestyles. It has also facilitated comparisons between individuals. While social media can have positive impacts, it also enables spreading of unwanted content like gossip. The study aims to identify negative factors affecting Arab communities and challenges on social networks. It also examines how social media was used during Arab uprisings to organize populations. The research found benefits of social media in empowering students, women, and economic development, but also risks of its misuse that governments aim to regulate.
