Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

4. Vocabulary
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Is a question you may hear from an interviewer at
your next behavioral interview. How should you answer that?
Let’s take a look at some good answers to this question and certain mistakes you should
avoid.
First things first, the reason a prospective employer can ask this question is to
understand more about your career goals. They care about your career goals because they
want to hire someone who is motivated, proactive, and likely to stick around and work
hard if hired.
You can also get some other variations of this questions such as:
● What are your long-term career goals?
● What is your ideal job at this stage in your career?
● What are you looking for?
● How do you define success?
● What’s most important to you in your career?
5. Vocabulary
All of these questions require the
same approach. Here are some
guidelines of how to craft your
answer:
1. Keep your answer fairly general,
especially if you don’t know a lot
about the typical career path at the
company
2. Stress your interest in a long-term
career at the company (especially if
you have a history of short-term job
gigs).
3. Demonstrate your enthusiasm for
the job as an exciting next step for
you.
“I am driven to be the best at what I do and I want to
work somewhere where I’ll have opportunities to
develop my skills, take on interesting projects, and
work with people I can really learn from.
Some of the most innovative thinkers in the industry
work here and that’s a big reason why I would love to
build a career here.”
“My goal right now is to find a position at a company
where I can grow and take on new challenges over
time.
Ultimately, I’d like to assume more management
responsibilities and get involved in product strategy.
But most importantly, I want to work for an
organization where I can build a career. I think I will
have such

Now, here are some things you shouldn’t do:
1. Don’t overthink it:
“Well, that’s a very hard question. I don’t know what I may do in 5 years….hmmmm….that’s tough.”
2. Don’t be too specific:
“I plan to be a VP at a major firm with at least 7 people reporting to me, a company car, and a salary of
150K (plus stock options of course).”
3. Don’t be too hesitant:
“I’d love to be CEO in five years. Then again, I’d also love to go into consulting and set up my own agency
if that takes off.”
