Tanzania has the necessary infrastructure in place with over 32 million mobile subscribers and a 10,000km national ICT broadband backbone. Several e-learning initiatives have launched, but more digital content is still needed, especially in Swahili. The document calls for maximizing synergy between government and private sector e-learning efforts to avoid duplication and create a coordinated system. It argues that with busy parents and existing infrastructure, now is the right time to more fully implement e-learning in Tanzania.
