Objective
• This case study is aimed at analyzing how dyson
managed to make disruption in every product line it
introduced.
History
• Sir james dyson got the idea in 1979.
• Started working on idea and after 5,127 failed attempt finally
made a good enough working prototype.
• Established companies refused to buy his license of cyclonic
technology .
• He was under debt but he continued to develop his idea and
in 1985 a Japanese company licensed his technology.

• In 1987 Dyson ltd got founded.
• 1990 he decided to manufacture vacuum cleaner on his own.
• In early 90’s sued competing companies for copyright
infringement.
• Turning point in history of dyson came when in 1993 dyson ltd
got a loan of $1 million approved.
• Soon they launched there vacuum cleaner as dyson DC01.
• Within 18 months it became bestseller in UK.
