2. Dynamic Routing
Dynamic routing, describes the capability of a system through which routes are
dynamically changed according to change in network. In dynamic routing, routing
protocols are used to find networks and update routing tables on routers.
3. IGB: Interior Gateway Protocol is a routing protocol that used to exchange
routing information with the same autonomous system(AS)
EGP: Exterior Gateway Protocol (EGP) is a protocol for exchanging routing
information between two autonomous systems.
RIP
RIPv1 is a Class full routing protocol and it does not support VLSM
RIPv2 is classless routing and it support VLSM
RIPv1 does not support authentication
RIPv2 supports authentication

IGRP: Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (IGRP) is a distance vector interior
gateway protocol (IGP) developed by Cisco. It is used by routers to exchange
routing data within an autonomous system.
4. OSPF Routers connect networks using the Internet Protocol (IP), and OSPF (Open
Shortest Path First) is a router protocol used to find the best path for packets as
they pass through a set of connected networks.
IS-IS is a link-state routing protocol, providing fast convergence and excellent
scalability. Like all link-state protocols, IS-IS is very efficient in its use of network
bandwidth. Cisco is an active member of the IS-IS working group at the IETF, and is
responsible for many of the ongoing enhancements to the protocol.
EIGRP is a routing protocol uses aspects of both distance vector and link state.
Ii happen to be a cisco proprietary protocol, meaning that it will run only Cisco
equipment.
5. Advantages Dynamic Routing
• There is no need to know the destination networks.
• Need to advertise the directly connected networks.
• Updates the topology changes dynamically.
• Administrative work is reduced.
• Used for large Organization.
Disadvantages Dynamic Routing
• Can be more complex to initially implement.
• Less secure due to the broadcast and multicast routing updates.
• Requires additional resources such as CPU, memory, and link
bandwidth.
