This document provides an example of interpreting a computer printout of sales data for used cars. It summarizes the key findings from multiple linear regression analyses conducted on the data. The initial regression found a strong linear relationship between auction price and odometer reading. A second regression attempted to include color codes but failed, showing color was not a significant factor. Dummy variables were then used to represent white and silver colors, finding silver cars sold for significantly more than other colors after accounting for odometer reading. Equations were presented to model price based on odometer reading and color.
