2. Crushers
The crusher is the most essential equipment to the crushing the ore process in the mineral
processing industry and it is the key device in other crushing rock, raw material and other
material industry.
Crushers are machines used to crush various materials, like rocks, ore, and other aggregates for
the purpose of rock-fill for landscaping, road building, erosion control, and mining ores. There
are various types of crushers, all suited for different construction and mining applications and
used to crush rocks of various forms and sizes.
Features:
The working principle of crusher is that the periodic motion of the movable jaw to achieve the
aim of crushing materials. In the process swinging the movable jaw about the suspension heart
axially fixed jaw, the required materials between the two jaw crushing, splitting and bending
role. At the starting, the pressure is very small, that makes the volume of material become small,
the material close and squeezed with each other, when the pressure reaches the extent of the
material can withstand, the crushing processing is happening. Every period of the movable jaw
movement make the material by a crushing, and make more downward movement. After several
cycles, the desire material discharged from the discharge port from the Jaw Crusher.

3. Jaw Crusher
The jaw crusher consists of an eccentric shaft, axis bearing housing balance, pulley, toggle plate,
cheek plate, movable jaw plate, crusher frame, fixed jaw plate, side plate, returning spring,
toggle seat and rear seat of toggle plate. The figure shows clearly all these parts.

Features:
The jaw crusher is one of the most widely used crushers and is suited for materials that range
from soft to extremely hard. It receives the stone between two jaws; a stationary jaw and a
movable jaw that moves vertical and horizontal when rotated. The figure shows, a double-toggle
crusher, has a movable jaw hanging from a shaft that sits on a frame of bearings. It achieves
sufficient crushing by rotating the eccentric shaft, raising and lowering the pitman, and utilizing
the two toggles. As the toggles ascend, the swing jaws close slightly and high pressure is exerted.
When the stones are small enough, they fall through the bottom of the jaw. The reduction ratio
for jaw crushers range from is quite well. There range in sizes from 12 inches (30 cm) to 1.5 inch
(38 mm).
