Vlad III, also known as Vlad Dracula, was a 15th century emperor of Romania who was known for being a strong but frightening ruler. He lived in Eastern Europe during the 1400s and was infamous for using impalement as a method of capital punishment, which involved sinking convicted criminals onto large wooden stakes. Dracula ruled from 1456 to 1462 and resided in several castles throughout Romania during his lifetime.
