CASE STUDY
I had reached a point of despondency with my business. Nothing was
exciting. Everything we did seemed to be fraught with problems. I was
not challenged, I had lost my passion and the business wasn't making
enough money to make the troubles worth all the effort. We were stuck
in the age old mind set of needing to do more to achieve more, and had
thus created an atmosphere where our staff were out of flow in their work
and we were having to work longer and longer hours to fight the fires. On
a personal level, I was finding it hard to reconcile my business and it's
activities with my own ethos and values. I had reached a point whereby I
didn't think it was possible to run a business in the way that was
synergistic with my values, and this lack of congruence was making me
unhappy and leaving me seriously unfulfilled in my day to day life.
Then I met Gavin Preston at an event at which he was speaking. The next
6 hours changed my life immeasurably. Whilst I was sat in the audience
soaking up everything this man had to say, it was a wake-up call like a
kick in the face. This man was standing in front of 50 or so business
owners saying all the things that I never thought could apply to the
business world - all things that I needed to bring into my business life to
satisfy my values and ethos, and to take my business to the next level.
From that point forward, I saw that business could be done in a way that
was congruent with my way of thinking, and that this was a fresh new
way of looking at the business world. The principles Gavin spoke about
during those 6 hours was enough to get me fired up about my business
for the first time in years. I was bursting with excitement for the
possibilities that lay ahead of me bolstered by this influx of new
information (or rather, new to me - I just hadn't known where to look).
Working with Gavin over the last 6 months has taken our business to a
whole new level. Together we have identified solid strategies to enable us
to double our turnover for the 12 month period in question (so far, our
order books are already projecting that we've doubled our turnover from
£2m to £4m and we still have capacity to increase this further before the
end of the programme), we have identified new ways of running our

business that enable us to be pioneers in the business world with regards
to our integration of our personal values and ethos into the working of the
business, and we have improved structures, processes and systems of work
which have had a unifying effect on the whole of our team - so much so
that we identified an ROI of £500k just by making some changes to the
way we do things and run our day to day business. We have well and truly
levelled up in every way, and the support of Gavin and his team along the
way has been invaluable.
On a personal level, Gavin has had the same effect. Through his mentoring
and advice, provided through the DYB sessions and generally as required
(he's been there any and every time we've needed him), Gavin has
enabled me to take my whole life to the next level in a similar way to that

CASE STUDY
After successfully establishing my business as a one man consultancy and
having a number of good years under my belt, I realised the business was
beginning to coast and was in danger of losing identity. To be honest I
was starting to feel a bit lost, but knew I needed to do things differently,
with a new perspective and fresh ideas, to get the results I was after. We

Personal Growth Strategy
Two days with Gavin working with you individually,
developing creative growth strategies to Double
Your Business growth. You will have one day at the
start of the programme and the other day six
months in. You will develop your Growth Strategy
and strategy action plan.
Personal Mentoring from Gavin
by email/phone/Skype.
Gavin’s incisive insight will address what’s holding
you back, get you on track with your growth
strategy and provide you with a clear
implementation plan. There will be times where
Gavin will be there to ‘pat you on the back’, times
when he will be holding the mirror up and holding
you accountable and times when he will be there to
support you through the tough times. It’s all part of

Community & Mastermind
Be part of a community of like minded business

Two (optional) Retreats
The retreats are all about planning, fun and
growth. I am proud of the people who are part of
the DYB community and by connecting you all
together I know new business opportunities will
arise. We spend time reviewing our strategic
growth plans and up-levelling them, I share with
you new strategies and have the opportunity to
‘go deep’ on areas pertinent to the businesses on
DYB. We also spend some time having some fun
and enjoying each others company in amazing
surroundings. We run a UK Winter Retreat at the
stunning Chateau Rhianfa on the beautiful Menai
Straits on the Island of Anglesey. The Summer
retreat will be international in an inspirational
environment where we look to create new
business contacts and opportunities for business
growth. The retreats are a great opportunity to
take your business to a whole new level.
There is an additional charge for each retreat
given that not everyone is able to attend the
retreat.

If, in the unlikely event, after the launch event, your first strategic planning day and
the 1st mastermind day (i.e about 8 weeks into the 12 month programme) you do
not believe you are going to get a return on investment from the 12 month
programme, then you can get back all money paid to date (less £450 admin fee
per person that covers out of pocket expenses for the launch event and materials).

  • 3. © Copyright Gavin Preston Ltd CASE STUDY I had reached a point of despondency with my business. Nothing was exciting. Everything we did seemed to be fraught with problems. I was not challenged, I had lost my passion and the business wasn't making enough money to make the troubles worth all the effort. We were stuck in the age old mind set of needing to do more to achieve more, and had thus created an atmosphere where our staff were out of flow in their work and we were having to work longer and longer hours to fight the fires. On a personal level, I was finding it hard to reconcile my business and it's activities with my own ethos and values. I had reached a point whereby I didn't think it was possible to run a business in the way that was synergistic with my values, and this lack of congruence was making me unhappy and leaving me seriously unfulfilled in my day to day life. Then I met Gavin Preston at an event at which he was speaking. The next 6 hours changed my life immeasurably. Whilst I was sat in the audience soaking up everything this man had to say, it was a wake-up call like a kick in the face. This man was standing in front of 50 or so business owners saying all the things that I never thought could apply to the business world - all things that I needed to bring into my business life to satisfy my values and ethos, and to take my business to the next level. From that point forward, I saw that business could be done in a way that was congruent with my way of thinking, and that this was a fresh new way of looking at the business world. The principles Gavin spoke about during those 6 hours was enough to get me fired up about my business for the first time in years. I was bursting with excitement for the possibilities that lay ahead of me bolstered by this influx of new information (or rather, new to me - I just hadn't known where to look). Working with Gavin over the last 6 months has taken our business to a whole new level. Together we have identified solid strategies to enable us to double our turnover for the 12 month period in question (so far, our order books are already projecting that we've doubled our turnover from £2m to £4m and we still have capacity to increase this further before the end of the programme), we have identified new ways of running our Jamie Keeling, The Studio People business that enable us to be pioneers in the business world with regards to our integration of our personal values and ethos into the working of the business, and we have improved structures, processes and systems of work which have had a unifying effect on the whole of our team - so much so that we identified an ROI of £500k just by making some changes to the way we do things and run our day to day business. We have well and truly levelled up in every way, and the support of Gavin and his team along the way has been invaluable. On a personal level, Gavin has had the same effect. Through his mentoring and advice, provided through the DYB sessions and generally as required (he's been there any and every time we've needed him), Gavin has enabled me to take my whole life to the next level in a similar way to that which he's achieved with our business. I am happier, more congruent and more fulfilled than I have ever been, and I now feel like I have the support of someone who truly understands business and how to get the most happiness out of life. I've had the privilege of having similar conversations with other DYB members, and my sentiments are echoed in them wholeheartedly. This has been a life changing experience for us all, and a real game changer for our businesses. When I advocated our company joining this programme, I expected a lot of things... but they were all business related. The surprising thing was that we got so much more than help with our business; we got help with our lives, with our minds and with our hearts.
