5 Things to Know about Virtualization on Compact PCI SerialMEN Micro
The modular architecture of the well-known CompactPCI Serial industry platform (PICMG CPCI-S) is an ideal prerequisite for the configuration of flexible open standard virtualization solutions. One of the most powerful server hardware components for virtualization systems is the 3U CompactPCI Serial embedded single-board computer G25A, featuring the Intel XEON D-1500 family (Broadwell DE) with up to 16 processor cores.
The portfolio of our Ethernet switch boards and devices has been designed for mission-critical applications in harsh and mobile environments. Being offered as CompactPCI or CompactPCI Serial board, as modular 19“ system or compact box switch – the scope of these components lies in the completion of our solution-oriented offering of rugged embedded computers for the rail and public transport, avionics, heavy vehicles, marine, medical, industrial automation, and power and energy markets.
menTCS is an open computer platform based upon modern IT standards that covers all safety-critical applications on a train and wayside. It is SIL 4 certifiable and comes with pre-certified hardware in combination with pre-certified software and corresponding certificates from TÜV SÜD, drastically reducing the time of the certification process.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
9/1987-02/2015 BANK OF NEW YORK MELLON TRUST formerly THE
BOSTON COMPANY
IT SPECIALIST
Independent Software Consultant
Institutional Accounting System
Production Support Team
• Provide support for the Custody Management System (CMS); a
CICS-based custody application. CMS is a distributed transaction
processing system which exploits the CICS intercommunication
facilities MRO, ISC and LU6.2/APPC. CMS is a multi-CICS region
system. The system topology consists of a terminal owning region,
(TOR), three application owning regions, (AOR), and a file owning
region, (FOR). Recently, distributed processing concepts have been
extended by the addition of dynamic transaction routing, (DTR).
This mechanism provides a means to distribute transaction workloads
across the AOR's, as well as increase system availability.
• Provide support for four test CICS systems, (quality assurance,
acceptance test, system test and unit test). Each system differs in
topology, which can be a single region image to one which mirrors
production. First line of support for business area anti programming
staff. Perform a variety of tasks. Handle a wide range of problems
from simple inquiries to major system problems. Analyze and debug
transaction abends. Determine CICS system problems which effect
performance. Proficient with CICS-supplied transactions; CECF,
CECI, CEMT, CEDA and CEDC, as wel/ as CICS vendor products
Omegamon, TMON, Eyewitness and Abend-Aid. Use these tools
readily for problem solving.
• Technical advisor for programming staff for both application and
system inquiries. Perform many system programming functions and
act as liaison between developers and system programmers.
2. • Assigned to special projects. Work on application projects which
require technical resource. Worked on PC to mainframe LU6.2
Interface. Support communication interface of a back office foreign
exchange application. This application runs on a WAN. The FX
application sends and receives traffic from the main frame via an
LIJ6 2 application. CMS has a portable host arid PC LU6.2
application which can be installed on remotes system.
Custody Management System Integration Team
Wire Transfer System
• A CICS-based system which communicates daily wire activity to
Mellon Bank, the parent bank. Worked on a project which replaced
the Boston Company wire transfer system with the Mellon wire
transfer system. The project was a conversion effort replacing 3780
batch transmission protocol with LU6.2/APPC protocol.
Custody Management System (C/VIS)
External Interfaces/Subcustodian Transmission System
• CICS-based system which performs the transmission of trading
instruction to global subcustodians around the world. System
includes data extraction from CMS, message formatting, transmission
and reconciliation. Message formats include SWIFT, telex arid
Euroclear capabilities. Transmission capabilities include
3780 and LU6.2/APPC transmission protocol. Worked on several
phases of this system.
External Data Interface
• A CICS-based automated trade entry system. Generates trades on
CMS from a variety of transmission from clients, institutions,
investment managers and internal TBC systems. Transmission
capabilities include 3780 and LU6.2/APPC transmission protocol.
Worked on several phases of the system. Developed, coded and
tested software. Implemented systerns into production.
2/1984 to INDEPENDENT SOFTWARE CONSULTANT
9/87 Designed, programmed and implemented various on-line and batch

Computer Science Corporation, Squib, System Development
Corporation, AIG, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, State of Utah and State
of Montana.
