This document outlines a deductive lesson plan about two classes of propositions: propositions of fact and propositions of policy. Propositions of fact aim at establishing the truth or falsity of an assertion, while propositions of policy aim at determining the wisdom or expediency of a course of action. Examples of each are provided and discussed to help students differentiate between the two classes. As an assignment, students are asked to cite more examples of each type of proposition and submit them for the next meeting.
