This document provides information on Mirakote 340-1AB, a two component water based epoxy floor coating. It protects concrete from moisture, stains, grease and cracks while providing a seamless, impervious surface. The system includes a primer coat and two finish coats. Product data and application instructions are provided for the primer and finish coats. Calculations demonstrate how to determine material quantities needed for a given floor area.

 Standard packing = 7.50 kg/set (A = 5.0kg, B = 2.5kg)

 Standard Packing = 20.0 kg/set (A = 16.7kg, B = 3.3kg)

 Touch dry = 90 – 120 minutes

6. Basic Calculation
Quantity of Primer 5145AB :
 Example: 1,000 meter squares
 Primer 5145AB required = 1,000 m2 ÷ 3.0 m2/kg
= 333.3 kg
+ 10% of wastage = 366.7 kg
Standard packing size of Primer 5145AB is 7.5kg/set. Thus,
approximately 49 sets of primer 5145AB is required.

7. Basic Calculation
Quantity of Mirakote 340-1AB :
 Example: 1,000 meter squares
 Mirakote 340-1AB required = 1,000 m2 ÷ 2.0 m2/kg
= 500.0 kg
+ 10% of wastage = 550.0 kg
Standard packing size of Mirakote 340-1AB is 20.0kg/set. Thus,
approximately 28 sets of Mirakote 340-1AB is required.

9. Application
 Surface condition: must be sound and free of oil, any kind of
contamination and no water ponding.
 Surface Preparation
Repair the existing loose substrate, hairline cracks and potholes. Grind
or light sanding if possible. Vacuuming and clean the dust.
 Apply a layer of epoxy primer 5145AB. Allow it to cure overnight.
 Apply at least two coats of Mirakote 340-1AB. Allow first coat to cure
overnight. Allow finishing coat to cure at least 24-48 hours to before
opening to light foot traffic.
