6. Divisibility Rules:
• A number is divisible by 4 if the
last two digits is divisible by 4.
• A number is also divisible by 4 if
the last two digits are zeros.

7. Divisibility Rules:
•A number is divisible by 5 if
the number ends in 5 or 0.
EXAMPLE:

8. Divisibility Rules:
•A number is divisible by 6 if it
is divisible by 2 and 3
EXAMPLE:
• 36 is divisible by 2 because it is an even
number.
• 36 is divisible by 3 because the sum of its
digits is divisible by 3
• Therefore, 36 is divisible by 6

9. Divisibility Rules:
• A number is divisible by 8 if the number
ends in three zeros.
• A number is also divisible by 8 if the last
three digits form a number that is divisible
by 8.

10. Divisibility Rules:
•A number is divisible by 9 if
the sum of the digits is
divisible by 9.
EXAMPLE:
765 7 + 6 + 5 = 18

11. Divisibility Rules:
•A number is divisible by 10
if the number ends in zero.
EXAMPLE:
20 700 2,220 16, 780

12. Divisibility Rules:
• A number is divisible by 11 if the sum
of its digits, taken in order with
alternating signs, is 11 or divisible by
11.
EXAMPLE: 829,653
8 – 2 + 9 – 6 + 5 -3
6 + 3 + 2 = 11

13. Divisibility Rules:
•A number is divisible by 12 if the
number is divisible by 3 and 4.
EXAMPLE:
• 936 is divisible by 3 because the sum of its digits,
which is 18 is divisible by 3.
• 936 is divisible by 4 because the last two digits
are divisible by 4.
• Therefore, 936 is divisible by 12
