The survey report summarizes the results of a student opinion survey given to 1,421 students in grades 2-12 in the Scottsbluff Public Schools district. Key findings include: - Students felt most positive about their teachers caring about them (score of 3.32) and knowing how they are supposed to act at school (3.58). - Students felt least positive about students in the school showing respect for each other (2.54) and their things being safe at school (2.80). - Over 50% of students agreed or strongly agreed that they are learning skills in core subjects like math, reading/writing, science, and PE.

Understanding the Data
Score: The score is simply the average of the feedback results on a four point scale with 4 being the
highest possible score (Strongly Agree) and 1 being the lowest possible score (Strongly Disagree).
Selections of “No Response” were not factored in the calculation of the score.
Percentages: A percentage based result is given for each individual question in addition to the raw
number total. This is a percentage of the total number of responses for each choice including “No
Response”.
