Once the production process is complete, the music video will now enter
the process of distribution. There are many forms distribution can take
place, for example:

•TV channels,
•Websites (e.g Itunes) etc..
Distribution companies will sign deals with record labels who own the
rights to artists' products. The job of these companies is to sell the music
created by the artists to the consumers who are willing to buy it.
Itunes
•It is a media player, media library and mobile device management
application developed by Apple
•Users can purchade/download: music, music videos, television shows,
audiobooks, podcasts
•It offers 37 million songs, 700,00 apps, 190,000 TV episodes etc...
For an artist to sell their product on Itunes, they can complete an
application form themselves. Or use an aggregator who are experts in
delivering content to Itunes, for a fee they can correctly format and
deliver the content to Apple’s specifications.
Independent artists may wish to format the content and complete the
application forms etc themselves to save money, however artists’ signed
to big record labels will have this done for them.
SoundCloud
•Is an online audio distribution platform that enables users to : upload,
record, promote and share their originally created sounds.
•In 2013 SoundCloud had 40 million registered users and 200 million
listeners.
The way artists’ can upload their products to this site is they a firstly
entitled to 3 hours free of uploads. However if the artist passes this they
can pay a subscription fee of £37 per year to upload 6 hours of content or
£92 per year which allows unlimited uploads.
