Walt Disney was a film producer, director, screenwriter, and entrepreneur who is known for his cartoon characters like Mickey Mouse. After visiting a park with his daughters, Disney got the idea for a theme park where both children and adults could have fun and learn. He went on to create Disneyland, the first Disney theme park, which opened in Anaheim, California in 1955 and was an immediate success, now receiving over 14 million visitors annually.
