5. Disneyland
• The Disneyland theme park opened in 1955.

explore, take rides, and meet the characters.
• Not long after its opening, it was a hit and was
entertaining tourists from around the world.
• After Disney’s death, brother Roy carried on plans to
finish the Florida theme park.
• It opened in 1971 under the name Walt Disney World.
