2.  International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a set of
accounting standards, developed by the International
Accounting Standards Board (IASB, London) that is fast
becoming the global standard for the preparation of public
company financial statements.

standards, promoting the synchronization of accounting
standards across the globe. The application of IFRS will lead

Accounting Standards (IND AS) in order to adopt IFRS in the
country, so IFRS is really at our doorsteps
 Europe has already moved to IFRS for listed companies &
consolidated accounts. Japan & Canada by 2011, USA anytime
2014-16
 Currently, 120 countries have already adopted & the number
will touch 150 by the end of 2013

 The registration should be completed by 30th March for the June
attempt and 30th September for the December attempt

11. On completion of the Diploma candidates should be able to:
 Understand and explain the international regulatory
framework of financial reporting
 Discuss and apply specified International Accounting
Standards (IAS) and IFRSs to practical situations
 Prepare financial statements in accordance with specified
IASs, IFRSs & International Financial Reporting Interpretations
Committee (IFRIC) pronouncements
 Prepare group financial statements including
subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures

the F&A department
 Other graduates with at least 3 years of relevant work

13.  Study material for Diploma in IFRS from a Gold Approved
publisher of learning material by ACCA (U.K) to be bought
separately
 Participants can attend either the live-session being conducted
or/and attend the same at their convenience in a deferred-live
mode
 Participants will have access to these archived sessions for all the
classes for a period of one year from the date of commencement
 Participants will also get the class presentations for all the
classes
 Participants just need to have a broadband internet connection
with atleast 512 Kbps bandwidth
