• Do you think Ricardo is a cyberbully? Why or
why not?
• What does Ricardo mean when he says that
information “gets around really quick”?
• Ricardo thinks that harassing others on
Internet, rather than in person, appeals to
some teenagers because they can’t be
attacked back physically. What do you think?
• Have you ever encountered online cruelty?
How do you think someone might feel after
being the target of it?
(“Why Digital Citizenship Must Be Taught In Schools”, 2013)
• Have you ever encountered cyberbullying?
• Were you the target or the offender?

• Who was involved in the story and what
roles did they play? Who was the target?
Who were the offenders? Were there
bystanders?
• How do you think the online cruelty might
be different from offline behavior?
• What do you think you might have done if
you were Stacey? What could you have
done if you wanted to be an upstander in
this situation?
(“Why Digital Citizenship Must Be Taught In
Schools”, 2013)
• After watching these videos would you
have done anything differently while you
have been online?
• First, define cyber bullying in your own words.
• Second, find five different cyber bullying stories on
your own, and write 2 – 3 paragraphs telling about
each story explaining what you would do differently if
you were the person being bullied.
• Third, find five different resources (at least 1 that is
not online) for other students to go to get help with
bullying if needed. These resources must be listed
in APA format.
• Last, get your parents signature at the end of your
paper that says that your parent has read the paper.
