ABSTRACT
In the last decade the companies more and more count on IT as a means of increasing their competitive advantage. However, the huge capital investments in hardware and software and the lack of enough qualified workforce are lowering the positive effects of using modern information systems. In order to satisfy the increasing business needs, the systems are becoming more and more complicated and hard to maintain. Bad planning of capacity and need of constant system updates often lead to unplanned stops which generate loses for the businesses. The Cloud Technologies and Cloud Computing make a paradigm shift by providing a thorough concept for creating a homogeneous environment through the offered services in the Cloud – Software as a service (SaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a service (IaaS). The inherent to the Cloud cost cuts and shortened time for delivery do not reflect on quality of the service, even more this makes companies more competitive and allow them to focus on their core business. In the Cloud every user has an access to the highest quality of the needed services, and at the same time companies have the opportunity for painless transition from capital costs into operating ones. This decreases the risk and transforms the IT department from one with the highest risk to one which guarantees stability and provides prerequisites for competitiveness and sustainability.
Cloud computing is already a fact, which nobody doubts. Moreover, with cloud technologies, organizations can focus on their main activities. In the cloud each user has access to the highest quality services. Along with the various positive effects, vendors face a number of problems and undeveloped areas. Preparation of the stakeholders is crucial for each project. More or less the technologies are the same, but the way we use them is not the same in the cloud. Former flaws are today’s advantages, former fundamentals for developers are no longer available in the cloud. Are we ready to forget all that we know and start over again to learn and how sustainable is the new knowledge – these are the open questions that stakeholders raise today.

What is Cloud Computing? It can be defined as a web-based technology that remotely delivers computing resources, namely hardware, software and information as services over a network. Learn more about it here. http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/server-cloud/cloud-computing/default.aspx
Never before have businesses and IT directors had more choice about how they consume and deliver IT services. With an established IT services market, rampant virtualization, and now Cloud – what is the best way to delivery IT? And critically, how can it be as efficient as possible? The answer for most business is to create a dynamic equilibrium between different delivery models, using the best of in house, outsourced and cloud delivered IT services in a hybrid approach. Simon Daykin, CTO of Logicalis UK, will present a hybrid delivery model, with a case study of Loughborough University where this has been implemented in practice. In t

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
