What Is a Digipak?


A Digipak is used to house Cd’s/Disc products, giving an
informative attracting view to its content. It contains the
product advertised but its aim is to attract through
appearance. You can get 6 sided or 4 sided Digipaks. They
vary depending on the artist/producers requests. They often
contain posters, pictures and other promoting products within
them.

How a Digipak Sells Its Artist…


Digipaks provide an image on another type of
media platform for the artist. Visually it
attempts to increase attraction of the
consumers eyes, in order to increase sales. It
informs the consumers of what it contains,
style of music and the artist in general, setting
brand identity for the artist. They do this via
colour schemes, images (including
background images), font selection all of which
can be conventional specific to their genre. For
example graffiti writing on a Background
image of a wall informs a rap/street genre.
