Description: • You usually work a 37-39-hour week; Monday
to Friday, but may sometimes have to work
longer hours to meet deadlines.
• You work in a studio or office, but may
sometimes visit clients and printers.
What skills? • Creates designs, putting together images,
text and colour for a wide range of uses
such as advertising, education, leisure and
communication.
• Follows the client's instructions (the brief)
about the type of design needed, the target
audience, cost and timescale.
• Develops the brief through research, then
produces sketches and ideas for the client
to choose from.
• Uses computers and different software
packages to create designs for many things -
magazines, newspapers, CDs, book covers,
