This technical seminar covers DevOps tools including Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, and Selenium. Git was created in 2005 as a distributed version control system and was inspired by earlier tools. GitHub hosts software projects using Git and allows for free and paid user accounts. Jenkins helps with continuous integration and deployment by automating building, testing, and deploying. Docker uses OS-level virtualization for packaging and delivering software applications. Selenium is an open source tool for automating web browser testing. The seminar concludes that DevOps skills will remain in high demand as organizations seek to accelerate development and deployment.

• DevOps is a collaboration of development and operations
devised to stress on communication and integration
between them. The main of DevOps is to help an
organization to grow and excel. With its help an
organization can produce software products and services.
Continuous development and innovation is required in an
organization and DevOps training has been started in the
orientation itself. Many researches have been written about
it since 2009 and various blogs are available on the
internet. Organizations have associated themselves with
DevOps for a lean startup methodology. DevOps aims to aid
software application by standardizing development
environments.

Git was created by Linus Torvalds in 2005.
Git is a distributed version control tools that supports
distributed non-linear workflows by providing data
assurance for developing quality software.
Git is initial released on 7th April 2005,16years ago.
It is a version control. GIT was inspired by Bitkeeper &
Monotone .
Developers of git is Junio Hamano & Others.

II. Bit keeper- In 2005 it has copy right issues
so they made paid version.
III. They announced project(GIT) on 6th
April,2005.
IV. 16th June,2005 GIT managed kernel 2.6.12

VI. GIT(meaning) – unpleasant person in
British language.

• Docker is a set of platform as a
service(PAaS)product that use OS-
level virtualization to deliver
software in packages called
Container.
• If Hypervisor uses perfectly we don’t
need Docker.
• In LXC(container) we don’t install OS
kernel.
• We can create 30 to 40 virtual
machines based on the server
capacity.

• Selenium is a web automation testing tool.
• Selenium was first developed by Jason Huggins in 2004.
• Later In 2005, Selenium RC was developed by Dan Fabulich.
• In 2008, Simon Stewart Developed Selenium Webdriver.
• Selenium is an Open Source tool which is used for automating the test carried
out on web Browsers.

 In fact , a research by Global Market Insight
shows of DevOps future: “DevOps market size
exceeded $4 billion in 2019, and is poised to
grow at over 20% CAGR between 2020 & 2026.
 DevOps skill will continue to grow in the next ten
years as DevOps engineers are in high demand.
 In 2021,DevOps will get and use more advanced
automation tools to evaluate error-prone human
tasks and better accelerate development and
deployment within the DevOps timeline.
