Devon is a county located in southwest England that has coastlines on the Bristol Channel and English Channel. It has a mild climate with average daily maximum temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius in winter and up to 32 degrees Celsius in summer. Some key geographical features of Devon include the highest cliffs in southern Britain called Exmoor and symbols representing the county such as a dedication to Saint Petroc and a flag adopted in 2006. Important cities in Devon include Exeter, which is the county capital, as well as Plymouth.
