Scripture: (Mark 2-3)
2 It is written in Isaiah the Prophet:
“I will send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way” 3
“a voice of one calling in the dessert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord,
make straight paths for him.”
Observation:
It is the message, found on the book of Prophet Isaiah, saying a
personal level of declaration of commitment, bringing his possession
that is his messenger who shows readiness of the path for us. A
personal experience audibly heard the voice that symbolizes attention
from the distant, wanting to let us know to be ready as well because
the God himself does greater things in the ways he makes. It is also a
reversal effect to God that we are also ready for His glory.
Application:
I believe what the scripture says about is the readiness and the
commitment that I have not just for myself for God as well.
Readiness ensures that preparation takes its lead for the path I take.
Example, as the adviser of HUMSS, I am preparing my students to be
ready to the journey that they may have for their studies by setting
goals for the second quarter reading of honors. I monitor them to how
they have been doing so far. Second, commitment. It protects the
readiness to continue what I have started. I instill to them by
reminding at all times what they really want to achieve and if that
what they want is possible. Everything is possible as long as the
commitment endowed to us is connected to the glory of God.
Prayer:
Father God, thank you for the message that impacts greater
realizations for myself and even for my students. I come to realize
how precious your words are by declaring how prepared you are to
commit better plans or paths for us. I pray that all the more you will
be glorified and the things that you for us may come to fulfill
because we are your children. Amen.
