arts contacts to best facilitate interactions essential to program operations
Built and maintained daily working knowledge of all aspects of the program’s
administrative systems and tasks to create effective environment for students, staff,
faculty, and others
Coordinated financial and organizational work with studio and gallery personnel to ensure
that all aspects of both functioned efficiently as a part of the program at large
Organized and managed the program’s Myers’ Resource Library and Darvin Kriegman
Memorial Library to make a selection of quality art education resources available to
students and staff
Developed and monitored electronic and paper file systems, including archives, to create
efficient and timely access to information
Restructured and reorganized four program offices and program mail room to create a
fluid and efficient work space
Budget Oversight and Management
Managed $400,000 in appropriations annually to ensure that the daily operations of five
specific budgets ultimately benefited the students and faculty of the program
Restructured purchasing procedures and program budget administration to create
proactive, anticipatory purchasing practices
Administered annual fiscal cycle for each program budget to substantially improve and
stabilize the program’s budget accountability to the college at large
Space Management
Restructured and reorganized four program offices to create a more fluid and efficient
work space
Designed and coordinated program renovations and facility improvements for major
changes to 3 galleries, large studio classroom, multipurpose room, 6 reception areas and
7 offices to create contemporary, organized, comfortable spaces for the program’s daily
operations and events
Devised budget and efficacy rationales to support requests for all improvements to
program spaces
Personnel Management
Interviewed, hired, and oversaw training of all part-time office staff to form a cohesive,
self-motivated and vibrant team through signature staff meetings, luncheons, and outings
Advised instructional staff on program and college policies and procedures to encourage
consistent responses to student and operational needs
Supervised and coordinated responsibilities of non-faculty personnel to ensure that all
aspects of the program worked collectively in support of its overall goals
