This document summarizes the results of a design process workshop to redesign bicycle stands. The workshop involved analyzing how people currently use bicycle stands, identifying requirements through surveys and scenarios, ideating new design concepts, and evaluating the concepts. Key findings include that stands currently lack shade, people prefer parking in shade, and stands are not always conveniently located or easy to use. Two conceptual designs were created - a collapsible shelter concept and a sliding rail concept. The concepts were evaluated against requirements of usability, security, and environmental factors. The sliding rail concept scored higher based on the requirements matrix.
