How to Run an Awesome After-school Makers ClubDiana Rendina
Whether you already have a thriving makerspace or are just getting started, forming an after-school group is ideal for diving deep into projects and building up a culture of making in your library. It's often difficult to get students into makerspaces for in-depth projects during the school day, so starting an after-school club can be a great way to jump-start your program and get your students engaged.
Learn strategies for how to get started, including tips on advocating for an after-school club with your administration. Learn about setting norms and procedures for your students, balancing design challenges with free exploration and creating a reflection and sharing piece for students. I'll share about my experiences with our Stewart Makers Club over the last two years. No matter where you're at, an after-school Makers Club can be an amazing way to bring the Maker Movement into your school.

The document discusses synergy between Conor Maynard's CD cover and advert. It notes that the font colors, background colors, and fonts used are the same between the two materials. This consistency in branding helps audiences recognize Maynard's style. The CD cover and advert also have similar layouts. The document then discusses how Maynard's style carries through to his music video and locations featured, with consistent themes of adolescence and bright colors reflective of pop music. Potential labels that could help sell Maynard's artist brand are also listed.
Interactive marketing refers to marketing that engages in conversation with customers rather than just transactions. It allows companies to address customers individually, remember their responses, and tailor future interactions accordingly. While facilitated by internet technology, interactive marketing is not synonymous with online marketing. Amazon is an example of interactive marketing through customizing recommendations based on customer preferences and purchase history. The document then discusses various forms of internet advertising like banners, sponsorships, pop-ups/unders, interstitials, and others and how they can be used for interactive marketing online.

Diana Rendina is a teacher librarian at Tampa Preparatory School who has been transforming the school's library space. When she started in 2017, the library's collection was outdated and there was no variety in learning zones. Since then, she has updated 71% of the collection titles, added new materials like graphic novels and manga, improved the furniture and layout to encourage collaboration, and created a makerspace called the Idealab. Upcoming renovations will further develop different conversation levels and academic support offices to create a more modern learning environment.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
