As more and more people are coming to realize, there is far more to living a truly successful life than just earning a bigger salary and capturing a corner office. Our relentless pursuit of the two traditional metrics of success - money and power - has led to an epidemic of burnout and stress-related illnesses, and an erosion in the quality of our relationships, family life, and, ironically, our careers. In being connected to the world 24/7, we're losing our connection to what truly matters.
Drawing on the latest groundbreaking research and scientific findings in the fields of psychology, sports, sleep, and physiology that show the profound and transformative effects of meditation, mindfulness, unplugging, and giving, I show us the way to a revolution in our culture, our thinking, our workplace, and our lives.

Straightener Space Organizing Personalities feel that to be organized, everything must be aligned perfectly. Straighteners will often tidy up their spaces yet create no systems, and even though their spaces can 'look' tidy, their piles may have no systems or real order so this style preference can cause them to be totally disorganized. To stay organized, Straighteners must create storage systems that provide a home for everything they keep - and purchase items that keep things aligned and straight. Staying organized is part skill, and supported by behaviors, lifestyle choices and a personality preference. Focus on key, essential items in your home and life that bring you joy. During this session we set out to answer this question: Why don't we remember much of what we have seen, heard or experimented during conferences even after a week? Our theory is that most of us don't have a good note-taking technique, so we decide to invite you to an 1 hour sketchnoting bootcamp. During this session, we will pass through some basic principles of sketchnoting like shapes, lettering, framing, structure and process. At the end of the session, you will have your sketchnote canvas ready for the next sessions of the Agile Tour conference and the necessary skills to run your first experiment.

1\ARCHITECTURE AND NATION BUILDING IN THE AGE OF GLOBALIZATION: CONSTRUCTION OF THE NATIONAL STADIUM OF BEIJING FOR THE 2008 OLYMPICS
This study examines the relationship between architecture and nation building in the age of globalization, with an analysis of the debates and controversies about the National Stadium, the main sports venue for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. The article argues that nationalism, along with the cultural ideology of global consumerism, drives the production of flagship architectural projects in China. The dilemma between nationalism and global consumerism has led state politicians and bureaucrats to opt for a global architectural language to narrate national ambitions. The study reveals the rationale underlying the search for global architecture among political elites in China, as well as its mixed consequences for local cultural discourses and politics.

3\Good culture, bad culture...no culture! The implications of culture in urban regeneration in Bradford, UK
This paper shows how regeneration policies in Bradford (UK) have over the years been modified following local, national and international events since 1997. It will be argued that policy makers reacted to pub- lic perceptions of the city itself and of its large Muslim community in three phases: celebration of local minority ethnic culture; pathologi- zation of the same; exclusion of any cultural element from the city’s self-projection. The paper suggests that these changes are at the same time reflexive of historical events and hegemonic discourses, and likely to be constitutive (as they have the potential to deeply affect social relations in the city). Further investigation is required to measure such constitutive long-term effects on minority ethnic groups and social relations in the city.

Bringing Hands-On Learning to MS Science.pdfDiana Rendina
Looking for ways to increase your collaborations with your science teachers? Bring your makerspace into the curriculum! This session will look at a variety of ways that you can collaborate with your science classes and incorporate makerspaces and maker activities into the curriculum. I'll focus on a year-long collaboration with my 6th grade science classes where the teacher and I led a different maker focused project each quarter that tied in with her curriculum. This included projects on lab safety, earthquakes and weather detection devices. I'll also share examples of smaller, one-day collaborations I've done with science classes. We'll look at practical examples of ways to collaborate with your science teachers, as well as different makerspace supplies and activities that can help support your science classes. While these examples will be focused on middle school, the concepts and ideas can be applied and adapted to any grade level! If you're looking for ways to get your classes into the makerspace more in a way that ties in with curriculum, this session is for you.

Diana Rendina is a teacher librarian at Tampa Preparatory School who has been transforming the school's library space. When she started in 2017, the library's collection was outdated and there was no variety in learning zones. Since then, she has updated 71% of the collection titles, added new materials like graphic novels and manga, improved the furniture and layout to encourage collaboration, and created a makerspace called the Idealab. Upcoming renovations will further develop different conversation levels and academic support offices to create a more modern learning environment.
Many of our school libraries are still stuck in the past with dated layouts that don't work. We need to transform our spaces to meet the needs of today's students, but budgets can be tight. In this playground session, we'll discuss how to redesign and rethink the physical space of our libraries, including practical and budget-friendly changes that we can implement right away.
This document provides information and guidance about starting and developing school makerspaces. It discusses what a makerspace is, provides examples of existing makerspaces, and shares stories of how makerspaces have been implemented at Stewart Middle Magnet School and Tampa Preparatory School. The document offers tips on scheduling activities, leveling up makerspace programs, cultivating creativity, and building a maker culture at schools.

Participants will be able to explain why changes to the physical space are needed and will learn strategies that they can apply immediately, no matter what their budget. This workshop will leave you feeling empowered to make the changes that are needed in our library spaces.

How to use Instagram to connect with your community.pdfDiana Rendina
Using a social media as a way to promote your library can sometimes seem daunting or overwhelming. But using Instagram can be a powerful advocacy tool, and it doesn't have to take a ton of your time to keep up with it. I'll share strategies for coming up with posts, reaching out to your community and planning ahead so that you don't have to constantly worry about what to post when. I'll share examples from my own library Instagram account (@TPrepLibrary) and show you how I plan and schedule posts once a week. I'll also share some great IG accounts to follow for more ideas and inspiration. Whether you've never been on IG or you're a seasoned Bookstagrammer, you'll come away from this session with new ideas to try.

Empowering Students through Makerspaces: How to Create a Space that Amplifies...Diana Rendina

Assessment and Planning in Educational technology.pptxKavitha Krishnan
In an education system, it is understood that assessment is only for the students, but on the other hand, the Assessment of teachers is also an important aspect of the education system that ensures teachers are providing high-quality instruction to students. The assessment process can be used to provide feedback and support for professional development, to inform decisions about teacher retention or promotion, or to evaluate teacher effectiveness for accountability purposes.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
