A description of an event gives a clear impression of what
the writer experiences. It usually includes details of the
writer’s senses and how the writer felt there.
STRUCTURE
● Opening: name, location, time and writer’s opinion
â—Ź Body: detailed description, what the writer sees, hears,
smells, tastes
â—Ź Closing: concluding sentence and opinion

narratives, etc. The writing style you use depends on the
situation and the intended reader.
STRUCTURE
â—Ź Opening: general information about the person, saying
when, where and how you first met them
â—Ź Body:describe their physical appearance, personal
qualities and hobbies/interest. You start a new paragraph
for each topic
â—Ź Closing: your comments and/or feelings about the person
