3. Definition
First of all, an essay is a writing that is done either to give
information or to convince someone of something.
4. pre-writing
According to the steps to write an essay, pre-writing is the
first, here the ideas are sought and the topic to write is
discussed or presented.
5. pre-writing
To do pre-writing we can use some
techniques that are:
● Brainstorming
● List making
● Freewriting
● Outlining
● With a journal
6. during-writing
The second step of the writing process is "drafting”. This process is in
which the writer already gathered enough information and start getting ideas
onto paper shaping them through sentences and paragraphs.
● Analyze your previously gathered
ideas.
● Edit your ideas.
● Model your ideas.
8. This can be defined as the
last step of our writing. It
is here when we share our
ideas with others. These
people can be our friends,
family or our teachers. It
all depends on the type of
writing we are working on.
What is post -writing?
9. BASIC
COMPONENTS OF
POST-WRITING
Read your writing
and verify that
everything is
consistent and
correct.
Lean on
connectors,
pronouns,
conjunctions and
other elements
that will make
everything flow
smoothly.
Delete excess or
too many
specific
details. Be
clear and
concise.
Make your
last draft
and think
about sharing
it with
others.
10. publishing
This part depends entirely on the person
who created your writing. It is the
moment where we dare to share all
those magnificent ideas that are the
product of our imagination and
creativity. 🤩
This is an important part in the post-
writing but it is not mandatory.
11. You can public
your post-writing
in different ways
📝
It can be written in an
internet blog. For example: In
my grammar class the teacher
taught us how to use Google
Sites. This is a good site to
share our content and it is
very easy to use.
It can be oral in poetry
reading or filming.
You can also be the
protagonist of a play where
your masterpiece is presented.
12. Introduction
In addition we must
include a thesis statement
about what we are arguing
in a clear way. To finish
we must provide a
transition sentence that
is related to what we will
be writing in the first
paragraph.
This is the first part when
writing an essay, it should
make the person who reads it
see the topic that we will
be addressing in it.
13. BODY
The body part of an essay is the compilation
of paragraphs that support your main idea.
This is the part in which you develop the
ideas within paragraphs and these ideas are
often supported by important facts and
references from other authors. The
supporting material used can be personal
examples, quotes and statistics.
Major points are developed in
each paragraph of the body.
These main points must be stated
with a topic sentence format.
14. CONCLUSION
It is the unit of the paragraph
that appears at the end. It is
like a compilation of the
information previously presented
and it is the part that can mark
the reader the most.
15. The conclusion represents the
closing of our writing. It is one
of the most important parts because
it is the one that impacts or
disappoints the reader.
16. Conclusions
Writing is an important tool humans have to communicate their feelings, express a mood, or give a point of view
on any topic. However, we do not know the rules we should follow to shape our ideas into paragraphs or essays
and for this reason, we should research beforehand the steps to follow in order to have a good and formal essay.
