To enrich the exhibition Traces du sacré (Centre Pompidou, May 7th - August 11th 2008), a new multimedia system has been experimented first to manage contradiction and debate on a controversial theme related to the spiritual dimension in modern and contemporary art. The debate was launched through audio interviews from the curators and a few contradictors from the intellectual and artistic scene accessible both on the audioguide and on a new type of collaborative web site. In the exhibition, visitors were able to record their own comments (vocal and drawings), using the multimedia guide or their mobile phone and afterwards to access them on Internet, modifying, annotating and indexing them, thanks to the software Lignes de temps, before sharing, publishing or podcasting them.
This paper is a case study report summarizing a 6 months qualitative study performed with different type of public (professional, amateurs, non-amateurs) and consequently different type of practices and expectations in an unstable and experimental situation.

The course will occur over a 5 day period, with an early end on the last day to accommodate travel schedules
Introduction to Intellectual Property and Patent SearchingJohn Meier
This presentation provides an overview of copyright, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. Patents are explained in detail, and strategies for effective prior art patent searches are explained.
The IPlytics Platform is an intelligence IP analytics SaaS. The IPlytics Platform uses big data frameworks to intelligently connect and analyze multiple data sources. The IPlytics Platform data sources cover over 80 million patent documents for 98 worldwide countries, over 60 million scientific articles, information regarding over 3 million companies, about 2 million standards documents from 96 standard setting organizations including over 200,000 standard essential patents (SEPs) declared at the major standard setting organizations (SSOs).
SWORD (Simple Web-service Offering Repository Deposit) will take forward the Deposit protocol developed by a small working group as part of the JISC Digital Repositories Programme by implementing it as a lightweight web-service in four major repository software platforms: EPrints, DSpace, Fedora and IntraLibrary. The existing protocol documentation will be finalised by project partners and a prototype ‘smart deposit’ tool will be developed to facilitate easier and more effective population of repositories.

Quick overview (and refresher for others)
AtoM is developed by Canadian company, Artefactual for ICA. Open source – means we, and developers, have access to source code and documentation. Plus any changes we make, may be added into the base code or as an option for others to use. Strong community of interest.
AtoM is single system, unlike BOS and AEON, so access will be determined by user level. This training session you will log on as government staff (e.g. Records managers and delegates for gov loans). Probably leave SIMS at this level, but will enable Martin? (for reports) and Jess ? (for exhibitions) as contributors – next level up.
In addition to
The principles of the Australian Series system description requires at least two descriptive entities.
1 A recordkeeping or record content entity
2 The context (agent or function) entity.
The record and context areas are to be maintained independently and the relationship linkages should be used to connect related record and contextual descriptions at particular points of time and over time.
1. Context Control, which is achieved by the identification and registration of records creating and other ambient entities and the documentation of the administrative and biographical histories of those entities, their functional responsibilities and their relationships with each other and with the recordkeeping systems they maintain(ed); and
2. Records Control, which is achieved by the identification, registration and documentation of record series and/or the items that make up those series.
In addition to Series Registration modification, we have developed an on-line loans module.
And…
A series of reports (AtoM basic reports leave much to the imagination)
