Question 1. Goals
The three goals that I would set for myself in any future project after this are to finish the project within the stipulated time, to finish it with the same level of quality and to follow the specified guidelines. To begin with, time is important for the success of any project. There are those that require a shorter time to complete but demand a higher level of quality. Similarly, there are those that may take longer, allowing the project team to put in place all the quality measures. From our experience as a team, it is important to take seriously each scenario.
No time is shorter or longer if the team is committed to delivering on time. I would therefore choose to be in a project where each participant does everything possible to drive the project’s objectives and to ensure it stays on time. This means that the first stages of the project should be rid of guesswork as they are important foundations for the planning. Every member therefore should have in mind the project’s time frame and take every meeting seriously.
My second goal would be complete the project with the same level of quality. Whoever commissions the project would obviously have their required quality. Even if it is an academic work, there is a standard quality. I would therefore ensure that I achieve the highest standards possible despite constraints of time and resources. This will also enable us get good grade and maintain this standard when advancing my career.
One of the greatest sources of failure of projects to meet their objectives is the rush to beat time. If every team member plays their roles as per the plans, there are limited reasons why the project would lag behind. This is why I would ensure that my team grasps the objectives and the timelines of the project from the onset. This would mean that I bring together a team that is motivated and ready to deliver the project’s success.
My third goal would be to follow the project’s guidelines strictly. Every project has guidelines that have to be followed. Even if it is an academic research or a commissioned project by a client, one must stick to the given guidelines. This would not only make my work easier but also make my client or reader happy. More so, the instructor who marked this project will indeed be happy if I follow these guidelines especially when grading the project using grading rubric.
It is understood that some projects may require a little innovative input from the person carrying out the project. However, such may only be necessary if they are done in consultation with the entire team. Any little decision may introduce new guidelines and derail the project. From my team’s experience, some innovations may not be worth the effort. Therefore, following the guidelines will indeed make me get the best from this capstone project.

Throughout the lockdowns, the internet saw a surge in search volume on self-development and distance learning. The term “practical skills” was thrown around haphazardly, which kind of made me look further than the google search could provide.

I am still unsure what topic my final project will focus on, but for this discussion I would like to focus on process improvement within an organization. Within my current place of employment, we have seen a rapid increase in personnel and with the growth has come a desire for those more tenured employees to move on throughout the organizations to bigger and better opportunities. Throughout the lockdowns, the internet saw a surge in search volume on self-development and distance learning. The term “practical skills” was thrown around haphazardly, which kind of made me look further than the google search could provide.
It’s December 2020. We all have been through a tough year. In recognition of the sacrifices made in these difficult times, I only want to say, “well done!”.

Regardless of where you work or what your career is, learning how to communicate effectively and professionally is important if you want to succeed. Further, learning how to successfully utilize visualmedia in your communication can dramatically enhance the effectiveness of your message.
As you will learn, preparing and packaging visual communication is critical to the success of the message being delivered! Take a moment to read the instructions for your final project in Week 5. Throughout the next five weeks, you will work on preparing a message of your choice, through the use of effective visual strategies.
For this discussion, identify at least one specific message that you might communicate in the workplace – one that could benefit from the use of visuals. (Note: This can be in either a past, current, or potential future workplace.) For instance, maybe the message involves typing up job-aids and sending them out to your colleagues. Or perhaps it involves delivering a presentation to your boss on your department’s achievements for the previous quarter. Or, maybe it’s related to designing an advertisement for your own business.
Whatever you choose to communicate, address the following items in your post:

I am still unsure what topic my final project will focus on, but for this discussion I would like to focus on process improvement within an organization. Within my current place of employment, we have seen a rapid increase in personnel and with the growth has come a desire for those more tenured employees to move on throughout the organizations to bigger and better opportunities. However not many of the lower level employees have a clear understanding as to what other opportunities there are within the company and the exact level of skill and education they need to possess to move forward. This leave many feeling dismayed and pessimistic about their future with the company. While it is understandably important for a business to continue to grow, that growth could potentially be in vain in the employees are not performing a peak levels and if they feel underappreciated and over worked. My specific message that I would communicate in the workplace would be that of “Process Improvement and career pathing”, with a targeted audience of Managers, Supervisors, Employees, as well as HR and Corporate. This message would provide a better understanding of the companies’ organizational layout detailing the various positions from top to bottom as well as a breakdown of: job description, desired skills and education. Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

- 2. WORKING ON THE NOKIA APP BREIF Working on the Brief, I’ve broke down what I have to do to be able to stick to the brief. I’ve picked the Nokia brief.
- 3. How the brief is structured and how it is presented to me.. The brief is structured clearly, the fact that it has subheadings makes it understandable, its short but detailed enough for me to know what to achieve with this type of brief. This brief to me is creative, it can bring out different ideas that may not of been thought of and be developed into something enjoyable and exciting. Also the fact with this brief you cannot be wrong with your ideas and thoughts of the brief, its an open brief. However it could be presented differently by having audio, someone speaking and explaining the brief as it would be easier for people that mayfind it hard to read. There also could be examples of the brief and the outcomes of what other people have done with the specific brief so that the people that come across it have a good idea of how they concur the whole project.
- 4. What skills will you need to meet the brief The skills you have to have within this project, are transferable skills and personal attributes. These are the headlines within skills such as organization, timing, commitment, knowledge, research skills, leadership skills, and working in a team/group. I believe with this skills I will be able to achieve and complete the brief well, also with these skills I can also gain other skills that may be suitable for this type of project and not just come out with a good results other then achieving the project.
