Glacial features include drumlins, kettle lakes, outwash plains, U-shaped valleys, and escarpments. Drumlins are elongated hills formed by glacial erosion. Kettle lakes form when blocks of ice detach from retreating glaciers. Outwash plains are areas of sand and gravel deposited by glacial meltwater.
