Cisco Managed Services for Service Provider Networks
Cisco Managed Services for service provider networks is designed to help customers maintain business continuity
with an outstanding experience for end customers. Our solution includes network and operations experts,
consistent processes, and advanced tools. Together, they help to deliver a best-in-class user experience and drive
down operational costs. Cisco’s approach to network management is centered on proactive identification and
resolution of infrastructure availability and performance issues. More than 95% of issues are proactively identified
and closed before they are known to the service provider.

Cisco Managed services provides a full range of operations and management capabilities for multi-vendor fixed
and mobile networks. Managed Services for SP Networks supports IP/MPLS, optical, mobile packet core, cable
and IP RAN backhaul technologies in physical and virtualized (NFV) modes, when applicable. Based on desired
outcomes agreed with the customer, Cisco’s delivery team can perform one or more of these functions:
● Operations: Cisco ensures business continuity by delivering typical NOC functions. You can partner with
Cisco to out-task basic NOC functions, including event, incident, problem, and configuration management.
● Optimization: Get superior service availability and performance with services that focus on operations
transformation and improve operational efficiencies. Cisco provides real-time monitoring capabilities for
more effective performance, capacity and compliance management.
● Network Planning: Plan your network more effectively with advanced capabilities delivered as part of
Cisco Managed Services. Cisco provides topology modeling, ‘what-if’ analysis, and demand forecasting to
achieve business growth objectives while minimizing incremental CapEx spend.
● Full Management: Outsource end-to-end management of your operations, optimization, planning, as well
as other management activities such as provisioning, lifecycle management and contract management.
Cisco also offers value-add consulting capabilities for more effective capacity monetization, design
optimization, and customer experience analytics to help customers meet their objectives. The services can also

Managed Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) Services
Cisco Managed CPE Services is a comprehensive, automated, proactive management solution hosted from the
Cisco cloud. It is offered as a white-labeled service and allows SPs to offer services for data, voice, and security at
CPEs for faster penetration and accelerated adoption in their market. Cisco provides service management
backed by the full assurance of Cisco service-level agreements (SLAs). As a pay-as-you-grow model, no up-front
investment is required and time to market can be as little as 12 weeks. Cisco’s intellectual capital earned over
years in CPE operations can help you drive your new managed product portfolio and generate new business
streams for value-added services.

Managed CPE as a Service (MCPEaaS)
Managed CPE as a service is designed to solve issue of upfront capital investment for purchasing CPE assets and
licenses. It also offers logistical support required for shipping and field installation, with service assurance and
performance management for day-2 operations. MCPEaaS is offered in foundation, standard and advanced tiers to
meet a wide range of requirements. It provides flexibility for SPs to more easily and quickly add to their existing
capabilities.
MCPEaaS offers pricing on service pack per month basis. Each service pack includes:

● Cisco Technical Services (Cisco SMARTnet
™
Service)
● Cisco Cloud Managed Services (Cisco Smart Operate)
