The Department of Physiology at Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Foundation in Andhra Pradesh aims to provide comprehensive knowledge of normal body functions and physiological basis of health and disease. It seeks to be a top-ranked department through evidence-based teaching, world-class research, and innovation excellence. The department teaches 550 students annually across various medical and paramedical programs. Teaching methods include lectures, practicals, tutorials, skills training, and small group teaching based on a competency-based curriculum. Faculty research focuses on physiology and several have received awards for their work.
